An artificial insemination (AI) program is used on heifers and cows to assure the best genetic qualities. Registered Angus “clean-up” bulls are then turned out for those animals that may not get bred using the AI technique. Using good AI genetics, the herd’s weaning weights have steadily increased over 100 lbs. during the past three years. 600 pound weaner calves are normally available for sale in November or December.

Crump Ranch provides some of Oregon’s finest goose and duck hunting on its grain fields and marsh lands. The goose season opens in early September and closes mid-January. Additionally, there is a large resident population of deer, antelope and big horn sheep on ranch property. Land owner preference deer tags are annually available for purchase.

The 7,000 acre Crump Ranch offers excellent hunting and fishing. The ranch has 5 miles of frontage on Crump Lake and on Deep Creek, a primary water tribuitary to Warner Valley. For guided hunting or fishing, we can recommend local guide services on our ranch property.
